Earthing is simply connecting with the earth by having direct contact with the ground. It can be done by walking barefoot, sitting or lying down on the ground. While going on nature walks or hikes are good forms of exercise, they do not accomplish the same things as Earthing. This is because there is a layer of rubber on the bottom of most shoes which block our bodies from connecting with the earth. Any task that creates a direct “skin to ground” contact fits under the category of Earthing.
